Our Favorite YouTube Videos for Morning Circle Time

Some mornings, we’re rushing out the door. Other days, I’m trying to juggle ten things at once. But one thing I try to keep consistent—no matter what—is our Morning Circle Time. And when life gets busy, I turn to one of my favorite time-savers: a YouTube Morning Circle Time “playlist”.

In this post, I’ll break down what Morning Circle Time is, how we use YouTube to keep it going even when I’m busy, and how you can make your own list too—plus I’ll share a few of our absolute favorite videos!

🎯 What Is Morning Circle Time?

Morning Circle Time is our way of easing into the day with rhythm and intention. It’s like a warm-up for the brain—usually 15 to 30 minutes of consistent repetition, movement, music, and learning.

We use it to review foundational concepts like:

  • The Pledge of Allegiance
  • Days of the Week & Months of the Year
  • Today’s Date & Weather
  • Counting (we currently do 0–50)
  • Letter Names & Sounds
  • 3D Shapes
  • Important personal info (name, address, phone number)
  • City, State, and Country
  • Order numbers (first, second, third, etc.)

📺 When We Use YouTube for Circle Time

On busy mornings or travel days, instead of skipping Circle Time altogether, I just play a curated set of YouTube videos that mimic what we normally do. These are safe, fun, and educational—and they help me keep that structure going even when I’m not available to lead it in person.

Because YouTube kids content doesn’t allow traditional playlists, here’s what I do instead:

  • Use my Notes app or Google Docs to copy/paste my favorite video links
  • Save it and open it every morning like a playlist

Easy, free, and completely customizable!

🧠 Why We Include the Pledge of Allegiance

I truly believe the Pledge of Allegiance is one of the most important things a child should learn, especially if you live in the U.S. When I was in school, we said it every day. That repetition mattered.

I wanted to bring that same tradition into our homeschool, so I created a printable Pledge of Allegiance poster to help my daughter memorize the words while seeing them on a visual level.
